The President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicolás Maduro, confirmed his complaint that the United States has launched its multifaceted plan with a false narrative against Venezuela.

In this regard, he stressed that “they have tried to vulgarly accuse, the Secretary of State of the United States, Marcos Rubio, with his indecency and immorality, has said that the Venezuelan barracks are the epicenter of drug trafficking.”

“As Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, I reject and repudiate Marco Rubio's expressions and come to the defense of our soldiers in Bolívar, Sucre, Zamora and Chávez, of their morals and ethics, their honesty and admirable discipline,” he said.

“Despite the fact that they deny us access to North American public opinion, the people of that country have already seen the lies and the crimes that are being committed against us,” he said at the Theater of the Military Academy of the Bolivarian Army, where he led the Master Lesson on the occasion of the opening of the 2025-2026 academic year at the Bolivarian Military University of Venezuela (UMBV).

The head of state argued that the United States, “has no proof that there are biological or chemical weapons of mass destruction in Venezuela, and since they cannot prove that we have nuclear weapons, then they invent an extravagant and vulgar narrative that has fallen because of its falsehood.”

“I greatly congratulate the Strategic Operational Command and all the officers in the Popular Military Police Fusion, which protects the 2,200 kilometers of the border with Colombia and the sovereignty of Venezuela's seas 24 hours a day,” he said.

He reaffirmed that Venezuela is not relevant to drug trafficking, commenting on “the lengthy reports of 15 years”, from the World Customs Organization and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime.

He also stressed that for seven weeks “we have had a military escalation and a psychological war that has made us stronger, since that escalation has led us to activate antibodies with massive weekend activities, where the People went to the barracks, and then the barracks to the People”.

“Massive Civil Protection drills have also been generated, as well as exercises to protect our seas and borders. I can say that seven weeks after this false narrative and stalking of threats, Venezuela today has more power to defend itself,” he said.
