The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, swore in this Monday the new Lieutenants and Lieutenants of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), graduates of the Bolivarian Military University (UMB).
“You swear before Almighty God, before the immortal spirit of our Liberator Simon Bolivar. They swear by our ancestors and the legacy of our Commander Chávez, they swear in front of this tricolor flag, the victorious banner of the popular, united and liberating armies of America. They swear before their family and all our people that they will not give rest to their arms or rest to their souls until we have consolidated a free, democratic, egalitarian, sovereign, independent, socialist and in perpetual peace, leaving our people a great legacy of freedom and independence. Do you swear that?” , asked the Commander in Chief of the FANB.
“Yes! I swear before God. I swear in front of the flag. I swear in front of my Supreme Commander. I swear on my father, that I will not rest my arm or rest my soul, until I lose my life if necessary, until we have built a totally free, totally independent Homeland, the Socialist Fatherland. I swear!” , they responded in unison.
The Dignitary described the oath of the 2025 promotion as extraordinary, “from which heroes and heroines who will mark the military history of our country will emerge. They have sworn in. They have completed an oath. As Constitutional Commander in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, I tell them if they do so and if they do so and if they comply, since they are going to fulfill their oath, the homeland, their families and our people will recognize it, otherwise they will be punished by law,” he said.
