President Maduro to the world champion softball team: You were left for the history of the sport

During the reception of the Venezuelan softball team, world champion, at the Miraflores Palace, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, praised the work of the athletes who filled the hearts of the people with joy.

“You stayed for the history of Venezuelan sports and in this Miraflores Palace you will have a space to remember you,” said the president.

President Maduro said that there will be integration for the massification of sports. “You can always be great, but by cultivating humility and simplicity in your heart,” he said, adding that “no one will take away their dancing, they will always be the 2025 world champions and here they will always have a tribute. I look forward to seeing them back from China as champions of China!”

For her part, the president of the Venezuelan Olympic Committee (VOC), María Soto, assured the Head of State that “we have had a prompt response for the athletes, every time the athletes put on those shirts (...) they will be there to serve the Venezuelan people”
