From his telegram channel, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, announced the call he sent to his counterparts and heads of State of CELAC, and to the Peoples of Latin America and the Caribbean, to proclaim the unconditional and collective defense of “our region and its coasts as zones of peace”.
He asserted that it is necessary to reject "categorically any militarization in the Caribbean. Venezuela declares with absolute clarity that it will not accept any guardianship!”
