The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, ratified this Saturday his respect for the country's institutions, so he filed the Contingent Electoral Appeal before the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), to resolve any matter surrounding the presidential elections of last July 28.
During his participation in the great peace march held in Caracas, the Head of State stated that, “first of all, in the face of a coup d'etat, Constitution; in the face of conspiracies, Constitution. Here law, truth, justice, democracy, institutionality and the respect of all Venezuelans for laws and institutions must prevail.”
He stressed that “Venezuela has institutions and it must be in Venezuela in a sovereign way, without the intervention of any country in the world, that this issue and this coup plan be resolved and the law prevails, peace prevails, national law prevails, or is it that we Venezuelans want to be a colony of gringos? No, we want sovereignty and the Constitution to prevail,” he reiterated.
