The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated the centenary of the birth of the spiritual leader known worldwide as Sai Baba.
“Today, November 23, we honor the birth of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, a being of light who has profoundly marked the faith of millions of people in India and in the world. I always remember him when we met and he gave us his blessings, our tribute on the centenary of his birth, my greetings to his people, his family and the Sai Baba Foundation.
Their existence is a living testimony to the divinity that resides in every human being, a beacon of unconditional love, selfless service and truth.
I have a deep love for India and its people, and because of the memory of Sai Baba, his memory renews in me the strength of his eternal message: Peace is the permanent presence of compassion and love.
He taught us that spiritual practice is found in daily action and in the search for unity, beyond differences.
May the wisdom of this great teacher continue to enlighten us in the mission of building a Homeland of Love, Peace and High Spirituality,” wrote the national president on his account on the social network Telegram.
