The President of the Republic and commander in chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicolás Maduro Moros, commemorated this Monday the 50th anniversary of Commander Hugo Chávez's graduation from the Military Academy, claiming his figure as “the ideal resurrector of Bolivar” in the face of the oligarchy and imperialism that sought to bury him.
“Chávez emerged from the humble villages of Barinas and from the barracks to return the sword of Bolivar to the People. The right wing and the empire wanted to kill their project, but their thinking grows over time: it is the torch that illuminates the struggle of the oppressed,” said the Head of State.
The President emphasized that Chávez, taking “the path of arms in glorious uniform, embodied the anti-imperialist rebellion that is still in force today, he added, calling on new generations to keep the revolutionary flame alive.”
The president led this Monday the Joint Graduation Ceremony of the future leaders of the military corps who will continue to contribute to the legacy of the Liberator Simon Bolivar and the Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez.
He also stressed that this July 7th is not a simple memory, it is a ratification of the immortality of his legacy; and in turn, he expressed to the military youth of the armed forces in the following: “In you lie the principles and values of that young man who graduated from the House of Blue Dreams. Set your sights on him, on his example, on his history, on his leadership, so that the steps you take forward are transcendent for your own history as officers, but, above all, for the history of our Homeland. May the legacy of Commander Chávez continue to be our eternal guide! , he exalted.
