President Nicolás Maduro inaugurates the 21st International Book Fair of Venezuela 2025

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, this Thursday, July 3rd, led the inauguration of the 21st International Book Fair of Venezuela 2025 (FIILven 2025), in Caracas, under the motto “Reading Humanizes”, in which Egypt is the guest country of honor.
During the opening ceremony of the event, which will take place at the National Art Gallery from July 3 to 13, the head of state took a tour of the aforementioned space, greeting the authorities, writers and guests present at the event.
The 2025 edition offers a program with more than 600 literary and cultural activities, the participation of publishing labels from 18 countries and the commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of the Network of Intellectuals, Artists and Social Movements in Defense of Humanity, led in Venezuela by the writer Luis Britto García.
Participating countries include Argentina, Peru, Spain, Egypt, Mexico, Cuba and China, among others.
The fair is attended by the director of the Alexandria Library, Ahmed Addalla Zayed Hegab, together with the Egyptian ambassador to Venezuela, Karen Amin, and the Egyptian Minister of Culture, Ahmed Fouad Abdelsalam.
Also present is a delegation of more than 30 guests, including writers, researchers, editors and officials.
