President Nicolás Maduro promoted to senior officers of the FANB in La Guaira

This Tuesday, August 12, the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Nicolás Maduro, leads the act of strengthening the Quadrants for Peace Plan of the Community Circuits.

The event was held from Macuto parish, in the parking lot of the Jorge Luis García Carneiro G/J Baseball Stadium, in the state of La Guaira, where he proceeded to award the rank of major general to 12 members of the FANB.

The National President conferred the rank of Major General to five officers of the Bolivarian Army. Similarly, in recognition of their naval trajectory, two officers of the Bolivarian Navy were promoted to the rank of Admirals.

The FANB was also honored with the promotion to Major General of two Bolivarian Military Aviation officers and three officers of the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), who received their new degree.

President Maduro awarded the “Order to Peace” award to officials of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (SEBIN) and the General Directorate of Military Counterintelligence (DGCIM), for defending and guaranteeing peace, by preventing the acts of violence that the fascist right intended to carry out in public spaces in Caracas.

On the day, the head of state said that “I give you this award on behalf of all the lives you have always saved, but specifically for the lives you saved with the terrorist attack that we managed to thwart”.

“You, through the hand of God, saving lives from SEBIN and from all the police in the country, deserve this award,” he said.
