President of PDVSA: Venezuelan oil industry begins a new phase towards consolidation

“A very important step in consolidating the new phase of growth of the Venezuelan energy industry, to strengthen and expand our fundamental potentialities,” said the president of Petroleos de Venezuela (PDVSA), Héctor Obregón.

He made the statement when referring to the modification of the name of the Ministry of People's Power of Hydrocarbons, in his account on the social network Telegram.

Obregón added that the working class and board of directors of PDVSA assume with historic commitment the essential role of developing the Venezuelan company's oil, gas and petrochemical areas to the maximum, with the impetus through the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI), in order to continue building the Venezuelan Power.

This Wednesday, December 18, the Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, announced the decision of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, to change the name of the Ministry of the People's Power of Petroleum to the Ministry of the People's Power of Hydrocarbons, with the objective of giving special impetus to the industry in the sector.
