This Friday, early presidential elections began in the Islamic Republic of Iran, to elect the country's next president from among the four candidates for the presidency.
On orders from the country's Interior Minister, Ahmad Vahidi, most of the voting centers opened in cities and villages across Iranian territory at 8:00 (local time), where more than 61 million people are called to the polls.
Polling stations will close at 6:00 in the afternoon (local time) and the voting deadline may be extended, if necessary. Around 59,000 polling stations were installed for these elections in Iran and in more than 95 countries.
The leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, exercised his right to vote in the presidential elections this Friday, as soon as the polling stations opened.
According to Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran's continuity and dignity in the world depend on popular participation in the presidential elections.
