The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, reported that he requested an investigation into the attacks that the United States (US) government has carried out against vessels in the Caribbean through its armed forces, leaving deadly results.

“I have formally denounced and I have asked the UN Human Rights Committee to open the corresponding inquiry, because it has to open it in fact, because they are serial murders, summary executions, of a small boat, of a small canoe, destroyed by a missile,” he said.

During his speech at the Council of State of the Nation, he specified that these attacks constitute a flagrant violation of international law, while confirming his rejection of the narrative that seeks to be imposed by the U.S. government against Venezuelans to justify armed aggression.

In this regard, he stressed the importance of “working with all human rights groups in the world to let them know that the false alibi against the fight against drugs is the country that consumes the most drugs, which is the United States.”

“Now they want to blame that on Venezuela,” he said.
