In order to optimize the medical assistance provided by Qatari specialists at the field hospital installed in La Guaira, 28 tons of humanitarian aid arrived in the country from the State of Qatar and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The shipment, consisting of medical supplies, hospital beds and food, was received by the Venezuelan ambassador, Samuel Moncada, who stressed that this important contribution will significantly increase the capacity to care for those affected.
He also highlighted that international cooperation has crossed borders to support the country at this time: “Venezuela has a lot of friends and those friends, just as we have done on other occasions, are responding.”
For his part, the accredited Qatari ambassador to Venezuela, Salman bin Nabet Al-Khulaifi, specified that this flight brings with it 50 hospital beds from his country, adding that in the coming days new flights with more humanitarian aid are expected to arrive.
This airlift, coordinated in a joint operation between Qatar and Jordan, reaffirms and consolidates the bonds of brotherhood and mutual solidarity between the Bolivarian nation and the countries of the Middle East.
