The executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA - TCP), Rander Peña, denounced the irregularities of the U.S. immigration system.

“Behind the U.S. immigration system, ICE operates a machinery of whistleblowing and extortion that deeply hurts our Venezuelan families,” said the Secretary, adding that what is happening to our migrants is inhuman and criminal.

The also vice-minister for Latin America specified that the “Venezuelan right wing, which has made migration an atrocious business. They sell the location information of our compatriots to immigration agents. If a Venezuelan refuses to pay what they demand of him, if he doesn't agree to be extorted, then they hand him over.”

In that sense, he repudiated that the right wing profits “from fear, from uncertainty, from despair. They are complicit in a system that persecutes innocents and separates children from their mothers. It's a crime with a political face and a proper name! From Venezuela we denounce it: it is the fascist right that gives to our people. The suffering of our people is not a commodity! Stop doing business with migratory pain! You don't play with our children and our people!
