Rander Peña: Venezuela activated all its capacities in defense of peace and sovereignty

The Executive Secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), Rander Peña, this Saturday, October 18, emphasized that Venezuela activated all its defense capabilities in the face of an explicit threat from a “threatening state against its sovereign existence.”
On his channel on the social network Telegram, Peña stated that the South American nation assumes the “republican duty to guarantee its own existence”.
In this regard, he argued that the Bolivarian Government mobilizes its internal, institutional, territorial, popular and strategic capacities. The objective is to prevent any attempt at aggression.
“Defending ourselves is not an ideological option or a political calculation: it is an imperative of national survival,” said the Deputy Minister for Latin America of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic.
He also stressed that the defense of the homeland begins when reason identifies the danger and duty summons the People.
Peña stressed that a State that is threatened and does not defend itself “ceases to be a State and renounces its dignity.”
In this scenario, he stressed that these actions respond to a responsibility in the face of the warnings received recently.
