Venezuelan pertiguista Ricardo Montes de Oca won the gold medal in the U20 Pan American Championship in Bogotá, Colombia.

Montes de Oca passed the rod at 5.20 meters to confirm the dominance of the test in this category, according to the Ministry of Sports press.

The Venezuelan athlete won the title at the Asunción 2025 Junior Pan American Games and is preparing for the Lima-Ayacucho Bolivarian Games, which will take place between the months of November and December.
