The head of the Ven25+ Campaign Command, Jorge Rodríguez, reaffirmed that the complaint about the kidnapping of 31 Venezuelan children in the United States will not cease.
“Beyond this election campaign, we are not going to rest until we achieve the release of our 31 boys and girls,” Rodríguez said. He assured that this case is part of a pattern of family separation suffered by Venezuelan migrants detained without charge in detention centers in the United States, often for more than a year without a court hearing.
The leader accused that country of implementing a scheme that “separates mothers from their children” and transfers them to supposed shelters: “In the worst case scenario, these children go from cash register to cash register, while they could be cared for by their families in their homeland.”
Rodríguez reported that the number of cases has increased progressively: “We started reporting 18 cases, but on the last repatriation flight, three of the four mothers were separated from their children, bringing the number to 31.”
In addition, he demanded the return of 252 Venezuelans who remain kidnapped in El Salvador. “We ask for the support and help of President Maduro to continue demanding justice,” he said.
