The Simón Bolívar Great Patriotic Pole (GPPSB) campaign for the July 27 elections began this Friday with a call to explore the streets and homes of Venezuela, as announced by Jorge Rodríguez, head of the national campaign command Ven25+.
During a press conference , he stated that this will be a “house by house, street by street” campaign with the objective of transforming the municipal reality in favor of the community.
“We are going through 335 municipal mayors and municipal councils across the country to move in a harmonious, coordinated and consistent manner towards a profound transformation of our society,” said Rodríguez.
Rodríguez recognized citizen complaints about bureaucracy in municipalities and reiterated President Nicolás Maduro's line: “Less desk, more territory.”
He noted that the campaign will end on July 24, the date of the birth of Liberator Simon Bolivar, and will focus on proposals that strengthen communal power: “Our main proposal is that mayors stop operating from their headquarters and begin to obey the communal power directly.”
