This Tuesday, August 12, the president of the National Assembly (AN), Jorge Rodríguez, reaffirmed that imperialism and its lackeys insist on attacks against Venezuela, “because they can't stand the fact that here there is a territory of decent men and women, but also decent, free, independent, and we shook ourselves from the chains of an empire more than 200 years ago and we will never fall into the chain of any empire again”.

Also, during the regular session of the AN this Tuesday, Rodríguez recognized the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello, and all State security agencies for their hard work in the dismantling of all terrorist plans that are promoted by sectors of the extreme right allied with North American imperialism.

Cabello is a simple, decent and good man; and when you meet this group of men who risk their lives so that the smiles of our children can flourish in the squares, in the parks, in the corridors, so that people increasingly appropriate the right to the city, to leisure, to culture and sports (...) you have few opportunities to give thanks, so from the AN we thank them, thank you Diosdado Cabello Rondón and thanks to State security officials for their mission and function,” he said.

He pointed out that the architects of the fact that there is no macabre news and that the bombs do not explode are the men and women of the State security organs who work under the instructions of President Nicolás Maduro, who has always been concerned with guaranteeing peace for the people.

He indicated that for that reason he slanders and they are trying to attack the Venezuelan Head of State with “stupid” inventions . At the same time, he reaffirmed that Venezuela maintains a firm commitment to its fight against drugs, which began when Commander Hugo Chávez expelled the DEA from our country.

“They attack us for a simple reason: This is a country of standing men and women, a country that does not kneel before anyone, this is a country that reports crime and criminals,” he said and pointed out that if imperialism wants to search for drug traffickers it must go to Ecuador, which is taken over by the Albanian mafia.
