On March 5, 1871, Rosa Luxemburg was born in Poland, a warrior woman who stood out for her struggle for the rights of the proletariat and a brilliant developer of Marxist theory at the beginning of the 20th century.

He defended the struggle of the working class for a true democracy that would place the welfare of the majority on the pedestal and put an end to capitalism, which from its conception has been linked to the exploitation of man by man, all this protected by the repressive apparatus of the State dominated by bourgeois elites.

Reform or Revolution (1900); Mass Strike, Party and Trade Union (1906); The Accumulation of Capital (1913) and The Russian Revolution (1918) are just some of Luxembourg's memorable publications.

“Whoever wants the strengthening of democracy must also want the strengthening, and not the weakening, of the socialist movement. Those who renounce the struggle for socialism also renounce labor mobilization and democracy”, Rosa Luxemburg.

On January 15, 1919, Luxembourg was assassinated in Berlin by fascist soldiers, an action that sparked protests across Germany until May of that same year.
