Rubén Limardo wins bronze in the Qatar Sword Grand Prix

With a bronze medal, the Venezuelan fencer, Rubén Limardo Gascón, finished his participation in the Grand Prix de Espada, held in Doha, Qatar, after beating the Hungarian Gergely Siklosi.

Belonging to the top 16 in the world ranking, the Venezuelan began his participation in the table of 64 competitors, exempt from the other previous stages.

Limardo faced the Swiss Clement Metraille r in the first instance, to advance to the round of 32, in which he defeated the Frenchman, Aymerick Gally. In the table of 16, he showed supremacy by beating the Egyptian, Mohamed Elsayed, and in the round of 16 he won the victory against the Hungarian Zsombor Keszthelyi.

He also qualified for the semifinals to face Hungary's Siklosi with a 12-7 result, and become one of the four best in the world with the bronze medal.
