On January 10, 2025, Russia will send the head of the State Duma, lower house of Parliament, Viacheslav Volodin, to the inauguration of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.
“It will be Volodin who will represent the Eurasian nation on January 10 in Caracas, at the inauguration of President Maduro,” said the note from the Russian Foreign Ministry delivered this Thursday to the press.
On December 19, the Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov, held a telephone conversation with the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Affairs of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Yván Gil.
In the course of the conversation, the heads of Foreign Affairs addressed current bilateral issues, confirmed their mutual determination to continue to coordinate the comprehensive coordination of Russian-Venezuelan interaction in global affairs.
