Authorities in the country arrested a subject who seized more than 4,000 doses of the synthetic drug called Captagón, which was delivered for consumption by criminal groups hired by the extreme right to carry out terrorist acts in the country.

This was reported by the Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, who explained that the one arrested today, identified as José Luis Miranda Consuegra, was an active member of the gang alias Wilexis, which operated in Petare, Miranda state.

“They intended to use these drugs in order to provoke terrorist acts in an opposition activity next Saturday, August 17. They don't mind drugging people to cause deaths and injuries in the Venezuelan people,” Saab repudiated.

Saab also indicated that because of this fact, the authorities are holding a more in-depth investigation “of which results will be given later”.
