The National Integrated Customs and Tax
Administration Service (SENIAT) collected 80 billion 601 million 217 thousand 919 bolivars during the month
of June of this year.
Through its social networks, SENIAT explained
that 19 billion 813 million 328 thousand 232
bolivars were collected in customs matters; and what was obtained in other Internal Revenues amounted to 9 billion 150 million 474 thousand 785 bolivars.
Internal income includes
tax revenues for cigarettes, liquor, inheritances, fines, interest and other items.
This year, SENIAT has
raised a total of 392 billion 756 million 307 thousand 245 bolivars, which
shows that the increase in revenue is made possible through
measures to control and develop tax culture in the country, since
taxpayers have become aware that the resources are destined to finance social
programs and projects integrated into the first transformation of the Plan of the 7th Generation.
The superintendent of SENIAT, José David
Cabello Rondón, said that “these figures reflect the commitment of the
Venezuelan people to tax culture, in addition to expressing the clear intention of the Bolivarian
Government to continue collecting resources for the social welfare of the people.”
