The Organizing Committee of the Americas Series, Gran Caracas 2026, offered an initial assessment at the Estadio Monumental Simón Bolívar that portrays the tournament as a sporting, social and media phenomenon.

Chaired by Renny Bernal, the press conference drew an optimistic map of the competition, conceived, as he emphasized, not to compete, but to coexist with the Caribbean Series, as a new showcase that extends the baseball calendar and broadens its commercial and symbolic frontiers.

Bernal highlighted the competitive balance of the tournament, led by Panama with a perfect record (3-0), followed by Venezuela (3-1) and Colombia (2-1), in a table so tight that it predicts ties, dramatic outcomes and a close full of narrative tension, Prensa Latina (PL) reports.

Beyond the diamond, the committee president revealed that the average attendance exceeds 10,000 people per day, with more than 40,000 fans accumulated in four days, and projections that could climb to 15 or 18 thousand in the second week of the event.

The digital impact was also presented as a parallel victory: more than seven million views on networks, around 700,000 accounts reached and 160,000 interactions, with a mostly young audience, under 44 years of age, confirming the generational pulse of the tournament.

Logistics and professionalism

At the organizational level, Bernal highlighted the comprehensive logistics offered to delegations: security, transportation, lodging, practice stages, cultural activities and professional service that, he said, has allowed many teams to express their explicit desire to remain in Venezuela.

“The majesty of Monumental is intimidating, but it also makes you fall in love,” he said, describing the impression of foreign players on Venezuelan stages, conceived as baseball cathedrals and symbols of a nation that, he insisted, remains a world power in sports.

Finally, the head of the committee claimed the Americas Series as a strategic response to the economic damage suffered after the loss of the Caribbean headquarters, and as a “firm blow on the table” to reposition Venezuela on the continental baseball map.
