So far in 2024! National Surgical Plan has performed more than 8,000 operations in La Guaira

In the state of La Guaira, more than 8,000 surgeries have been performed so far this year within the framework of the National Surgical Plan.
As reported by the Venezuelan Social Security Institute (IVSS) on its Telegram channel, the procedures performed include 800 cataract operations, 16 pacemaker implants and various ophthalmic surgeries such as corrections for strabismus and amblyopia.
With a number of 19 operating rooms in the state, where low, medium and high complexity operations are allowed to be performed in the areas of general surgery, pediatrics, traumatology, orthopedics, urology and otorhinolaryngology.
They also performed other oncological interventions with the support of specialists from the Carlos Arvelo Military Hospital in Caracas.
