Bolivarian Peace Diplomacy reaffirms itself as Venezuela's main international strategy, prioritizing dialogue as the greatest wealth and tool for resolving conflicts,” said the Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil, on Monday.

Through his Telegram channel, the foreign minister stated that he held an enriching meeting with social movements in Geneva, Switzerland, in the context of his participation in the 61st session of the Human Rights Council of the United Nations.

During the activity, the Venezuelan diplomat shared with popular fronts the events that occurred on January 3, when a US military aggression kidnapped President Nicolás Maduro and the deputy Cilia Flores.

In the publication, the head of the diplomatic office details the fruitful dialogue with colleagues who defend the cause of the Venezuelan people and advocate for the release of the presidential couple.

With regard to this historic moment, the minister urged all progressive forces in the world to protect peace, social conquests and defend the revolutionary model promoted by 21st century socialism.

He pointed out that Venezuela maintains civic-military unity “capable of withstanding any adversity and sustaining the political project of the Bolivarian Government.”

The diplomat thanked social movements, active groups and critical masses for supporting the Government of Venezuela in the most difficult moments of its republican history.
