With the installation of the State Council for Sovereignty and Peace , this Friday, September 26, a new phase of comprehensive defense began in the state of Guayana Esequiba.
Esta action is being carried out in compliance with the guidelines of President Nicolás Maduro Moros, who has stressed the importance of integrating national forces in the face of threats from the US empire.
El objective of the State Council is to deploy a message of peace and defense in every territory and community of Guiana Essequiba.
El president of the Legislative Council, Arsenio Gonzalez, installed the Council as a space for dialogue, debate, and encounter of all Venezuelans united around the Defense of Peace.
En the installation ceremony was attended by all sectors of Guayana Essequiba society, the public, business, religious, educational, indigenous, mining, educational and community sectors.
Durante in his speech, Governor Neil Villamizar emphasized that “we are in the different regions of the country setting up regional chapters and today it has been up to Guiana Essequiba to convene the plural convening of this Council for Sovereignty and Peace, an instance after all relevant at this time of siege and threats against the Homeland.
Villamizar also highlighted that all Venezuelans have the legitimate right to defend, protect and safeguard the national territory, thus reaffirming the regional government's commitment to the defense of sovereignty.
El Commander of ZODI Guayana Esequiba, Henry González Velázquez, said that the unity of the people is crucial to maintaining independence, sovereignty and freedom. “This cohesion is seen as the path to a peaceful victory, essential for asserting self-determination in honor of the struggles of the ancestors.”
La installation of the State Council for Sovereignty and Peace represents a significant step towards consolidating the country's comprehensive defense, promoting peace and unity among Venezuelans in times of challenge.
