The Bolivarian Government began placing 3,000 tons of asphalt on the road to Choroní, starting at kilometer 1 from Maracay, Aragua state.

The governor of the state of Aragua, Joana Sánchez, accompanied by the mayor of Girardot, Rafael Morales, were present at the start of the work.

“With the rehabilitation of this important road artery, not only does territorial connectivity improve, but it also offers safe conditions for the transportation of inhabitants and visitors to the coastal area,” said Sánchez, in statements to the media.

He also pointed out that these actions are framed in the Aragueñdad Plan. “Today we are fulfilling what was promised and this rehabilitation will benefit not only Choroní but also the parish of Chuao in the Santiago Mariño municipality,” he said.

For his part, Morales said he was very happy with the start of the rehabilitation of this important road artery, considering that it improves the influx of tourists and therefore boosts the economy.

He thanked President Nicolás Maduro and the Minister of Popular Power for Transportation, Ramón Velásquez Araguayán for their support because these actions are part of the comprehensive coastal recovery plan.
