The governor of the state of Yaracuy, Leonardo Intoci, reported on the progress made in the rehabilitation work being carried out at the Cathedral of San Felipe, through a post on his official account on the social network Instagram.

The regional president indicated that, with the support of President Nicolás Madur, a comprehensive intervention is being carried out in the structure of the temple, which includes work on the roof and other spaces of the enclosure.

He specified that among the actions carried out are waterproofing works, slope correction, rehabilitation of the dome and improvement of the drainage system.

“Committed word, word fulfilled,” said Intoci, reiterating his commitment to continue developing works for the benefit of the entity.

It should be noted that the rehabilitation responds to damages recorded during the rains of the month of June, when leaks and floods were evident in the enclosure due to the collapse of the drains in the roof and dome. Regional authorities initiated a technical evaluation to correct structural flaws and ensure the preservation of this heritage space.
