The Bolivarian Shield 2025 device activated in Bolívar before the arrival of the rains

This Wednesday, July 2, the Bolivarian Shield 2025 preventive device was activated, in the state of Bolivar, due to the weather changes recorded in the last few hours in this entity, especially due to the rainy season that generates alerts in communities close to the Orinoco River.

The activity began with a civic-military and police parade held on the Paseo Libertador in Ciudad Bolívar, where a simulation of the deployment of the Rapid Reaction Unit (URRA), composed of Security and Emergency Care Agencies, was carried out.

The exercise was attended by the commander of the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone (ZODI), G/D Miguel Yilales Arteaga, the governor of the entity, Yulisbeth García, and institutional representatives of police forces, firefighters, civil protection and public services.

Regarding the conference, Yilales said that operational personnel are prepared to respond immediately to any risk situation related to the rains.

He assured that the plan includes rapid mobilization, preventive patrols, territorial reconnaissance and search operations, as part of a comprehensive strategy to safeguard the population.

In this regard, he specified that more than 400 officials belonging to different security bodies participate in this action scheme. The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB), the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), the CICPC, the Bolivar State Police and the Fire Department are organized to provide coverage in the most vulnerable areas of the region.

The governor of the state reported that the activation of the Bolivarian Shield 2025 will make it possible to permanently evaluate response capacities to possible contingencies derived from the Orinoco flood.

The authorities ratified their commitment to maintain constant monitoring and carry out preventive actions aimed at ensuring the safety of the inhabitants of the entity.
