The
Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism nominated eight beautiful locations in the Best
Tourism Villages 2025 program,
with the objective of making visible the richness of natural and cultural heritage, as
well as sustainability practices and community values.
The
eight Venezuelan peoples selected for this edition are a faithful reflection of
the country's geographical and cultural diversity, according to a note from Venezolana de
Televisión.
Among
the proposed peoples are: Choroní in the state of Aragua; the town
of Encontrados, located south of Lake Maracaibo; the Gran Roque, located in the Francisco de Miranda Insular Territory; and
the town of Galipán, which is located in the foothills of the Waraira Repano National Park.
The musical
capital of Venezuela is also part of this participation with the
presence of the Santa Rosa people in the state of Lara; as well as the Canaima
National Park, located in the state of Bolívar.
The
participation of these eight towns in the Best Tourism Villages 2025 was
chosen for their commitment to a model of tourism development that benefits
their communities and respects their environment.
This initiative reaffirms the commitment of the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro and the Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Leticia Gómez, to the promotion of Venezuelan citizenship, culture and nature.
