This Monday, the registration of high school graduates in the National Entry System (SNI) began throughout the country, a free process promoted by the National Government, through the Ministry of Education, to guarantee a university quota for students in the last year of general and technical secondary education.

The rector of the National University of Sciences Dr. Humberto Fernández Morán (UNC), Gabriela Jiménez Ramírez, invited students to “actively participate and apply for careers that awaken their true vocation”.

According to a press release from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MINCYT), the holder of the portfolio also recalled that, this year, students have the UNC, which offers 13 innovative careers for the development of the Homeland.

“This year, high school graduates have an exceptional option: the National University of Sciences Dr. Humberto Fernández-Morán, which offers 13 new innovative careers in the country out of 16 in total. These academic options are designed to prepare them for the challenges of the globalized world in areas such as Artificial Intelligence, data science, nanotechnology, mathematics, computational chemistry, oceanology, among others,” he said.

He recalled that thousands of high school graduates were able to learn about the academic offerings of this house of study, inaugurated in December of last year by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, at the last Expoferia of Study Opportunities 2025.

This exhibition, also explained the Sectorial Vice President of Science, Technology, Ecosocialism and Health, was “an event held at the national level, where the university debuted with enormous receptivity on the part of young people”.
