The National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, La Guaira chapter, installed this Friday

With the participation of national and regional authorities and representatives of various social sectors, this Friday, September 19, the installation of the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, La Guaira chapter, was formalized as part of the national strategy to strengthen unity in the face of the interventionist aggressions of the American empire against the sovereignty of Venezuela.

During the event, broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, the secretary of the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, Jorge Rodríguez, said that “together with the sectors of the beautiful state of La Guaira, we installed the regional chapter of the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace. Venezuelans have the right to say that we don't want war, we want our independence and the peace of the Republic to be preserved.”

He stressed that the country is facing an unprecedented offensive, characterized by disinformation campaigns by the United States empire that seek to undermine national identity.

“It's an act of lies, inventions that do nothing more than attack being Venezuelan and Venezuelan. We call on the People to maintain the links of dialogue with the whole world to show the truth of Venezuela,” he said.

In this context, Rodríguez called for the unity of all social sectors, without political distinction, to preserve the fundamental values of the nation.

“This affects all of us, so we all have to get together. There are no colors or political parties here, in this country we have only one flag. We have seen how our brothers and sisters who came from other countries have received them as if they were born in this land. Today we are united by that same flag, history, the heroes of our independence, but above all we are united by love for this sacred land,” he said.

For his part, the governor of La Guaira, Alejandro Terán, emphasized that the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace constitutes a trench of unity, where all sectors of the country, without distinction, are articulated to ensure that the issues of Venezuelans are resolved, exclusively, by Venezuelans, in full exercise of their self-determination.

“In the face of imperial aggression, our decisive response is maximum preparation and absolute unity. That is why we are here, in this space that represents the General Staff for defense and diplomacy from this region. Here we come to join forces and strategies to protect this Homeland, which we are willing to defend firmly,” he said.

The installation of the regional chapter was attended by several community spokespersons, business representatives, local authorities, delegates of social organizations through a work agenda that included sectoral meetings, forums, outreach actions aimed at strengthening the message of peace and national unity.
