The Ombudsman's Office reported 728 cases of complaints of gender-based violence

The Ombudsman, Alfredo Ruiz, reported that 728 cases of complaints of gender-based violence were reported at the different headquarters and sub-headquarters of the institution.
According to information published on the Radio Miraflores web portal, Ruiz highlighted that there are 111 complaints related to sexual exploitation, personal integrity and family abuse, involving girls and adolescents.
He also indicated that the complaints registered from the beginning of 2024 to the month of October, the most predominant cases are for violence to psychological integrity, harassment or harassment; right to physical integrity and to life.
In that regard, he added that the Ombudsman's Office provides legal advice, commission formation and support to victims.
