This Saturday, November 08, the People of Sucre massively attended the assemblies that were held in communities throughout the entity to consolidate the Bolivarian Integral Base Committees (CBBI), as part of the tasks entrusted by President Nicolás Maduro for the restructuring of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).
From the El Dique community in the city of Cumaná, spokespersons and spokespersons of the community emphasized that today they are choosing their spokespersons, demonstrating the participatory and proactive democracy that Venezuela is experiencing. “Once again we decided to go out and choose for ourselves,” said Isabel Arias, community spokeswoman.
He also assured that in the face of threats, the People's Power reaffirms its support for the Bolivarian Revolution. “Venezuela is a free, sovereign country in holy peace,” he said.
The process of forming these new committees is carried out through direct and secret voting in street meetings, without the intervention of authorities, such as mayors or governors. In addition, they have the mission of strengthening political organization, meeting the social needs of communities and operating as a structure for the comprehensive defense of the nation.
