The play “The Colonel has no one to write to him”, directed by Carlos Scoffio, arrives at the National Theater of Caracas, and will be available to the general public until October 6 with eight performances in its new season.
The cast is led by the first actors Djamil Jassir, who gives life to the “Colonel” and Francis Rueda as his wife “The Colonela”. This play has a total of 18 actors on stage from different generations, under the direction of Scoffio, and will be presented on Saturdays at 4:00 in the afternoon and Sundays at 3:00pm, with tickets available through the goliiive.com platform.
The play “The Colonel has no one to write to him” is a co-production of the Rajatabla Foundation and Image Producciones, as well as the sponsorship and collaboration of Fundapatrimonio, Teatro Nacional and Oz Producciones.
“I invite you to come and see an extraordinary play, which split Venezuelan theater into two parts when it was staged by Carlos Giménez and the group Rajatabla. Now Imágenes Producciones brings it through Carlos Escofio and the group Rajatabla, for a new season, 10 years after the death of Gabriel García Márquez,” said the protagonist of the piece, actor Djamil Jassir.
The play directed by Carlos Scoffio, with the executive production of Marbella Molina and William López, is a remontage attached to the play conceived in 1989 by the Argentine-Venezuelan director, Carlos Giménez, founder of the group Rajatabla.
