The Andean wastelands of Mérida were once again covered in white, offering visitors and locals a unique natural spectacle. During the Easter holidays, tourists have traveled to different parts of the state to enjoy the cold and the beauty of the snowy landscape.
Among the most visited destinations in this vacation are the Stone Chapel in Mucuchí, the Mucubají Lagoon and the Sierra Nevada National Park. In addition, the Mukumbarí Cable Car System registered an accumulation of snow at its Pico Espejo station, which generates great expectation among national and international travelers.
The snowfall also reached the Via Trasandina in the Sierra La Culata National Park, where tourists stop to contemplate the phenomenon and capture images of the environment. During the tours, visitors have the opportunity to learn about native flora, such as frailejón, an emblematic plant of the Andes.
In this way, the Sierra Nevada National Park, recognized for its beauty and diversity, continues to be a reference for mountain tourism, with activities such as hiking and skiing.
This snowfall was also observed in the Mukumbarí Cable Car System, where it reaffirms itself as a key tourist attraction in the region, consolidating itself as a space of connection between spirituality and nature. Its location and the possibility of experiencing snow have made more national and international travelers choose it for their vacations.
It is worth mentioning that the first snowfall of 2025 occurred in January, and with this new episode, the Venezuelan Andes continue to surprise with their natural magic, where several national and international tourists enjoy.
