Tigres de Aragua continues to lead the LVBP standings despite falling to Caribes

The day of this Sunday, November 9, served to lower the curtain for the fourth week of the regular round of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League (LVBP), in which Caribe de Anzoátegui, Navegantes del Magallanes, Águilas del Zulia and Tiburones de la Guaira emerged victorious.

Caribes de Anzoátegui shut out 4 runs for 0 against the leader of the standings Tigres de Aragua, at the José Pérez Colmenares stadium in the city of Maracay, this being his sixth shutout this season of the LVBP.

Pitcher Sebastián Perrone took the victory. While the defeat was borne by Christian Mejías.

This result allowed him to discount the Tribe and he is in fifth place in the standings half a game of the fourth place occupied by Bravos de Margarita and three and a half behind first place.

For his part, Navegantes del Magallanes cut his six-game losing streak after winning 11 races to 4 against Leones del Caracas at the Monumental stadium in the capital city.

Several batters recorded multi-hits, Carlos Rodríguez (6-4, 3 CI, 1 CA), Rougned Odor (6-2, 1 HR, 2 CI, 2 CA), Ángel Reyes (6-4, 1 CI, 1 CA), Eliézer Alfonzo (5-2), season rookie Diego Castillo (3-2, 3 CA) and José Gómez (4-3, 2 CA, 1 CI).
