The Tiuna El Fuerte Cultural Center inaugurated
a CCS jungle climbing wall, to promote bouldering and indoor climbing for
the general public, through free sessions and training
workshops to promote the practice of this activity.
“Block climbing is handled here, on
a mat, it is handled without harness only with shoes and magnesium, that's why
there is that mat, you first learn to fall on that mat, that's why
you climb and start at the super easy level up to the back level, the most
difficult, anyone of any motor-physical ability can do it
through induction,” explained one of the practitioners present in the sports space located in the El Valle parish in Caracas.
In addition, another young man indicated that “ bouldering is a very complete sport in which your whole body is needed, it's quite fun and it seems to work a lot to de-stress you a little”.
The Tiuna El Fuerte Cultural Park was inaugurated in 2005 with the collaboration of hundreds of urban artists, who used a vacant asphalt plot of 9,000 square meters. This group of artists was dedicated to mobilizing, convening and weaving artistic, community and academic networks that would allow the flourishing of an important cultural production movement.
Which, in addition to being a space with a cultural
infrastructure awarded worldwide for its innovative
architecture, is a reference for social processes of organization and cultural
production in Venezuela and internationally. Weekly concerts
with local talent, art shows, workshops and community events.
It's important to remember that this space is open Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
