This Thursday, August 14, the Creole queen of universal triple jump, Yulimar Rojas, returns to the pit on Spanish soil to play with a view to the open-air world championship that will be held next September in the capital of Japan, her first goal towards the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

“It's true that we have to go through a process and we have to go step by step. This year is important: we have the Tokyo World Cup (outdoor) and that's our goal,” the champion told international sports media.

In that regard, he added that “our view and our focus will be the Olympic Games. I am very happy to return and to be walking and touring to get to Los Angeles 2028 in good physical condition.”

The III Meliz Sport International Meeting will focus exclusively on jumping modalities and will be held on the Fuente de la Niña athletics track, in Guadalajara.
