Most of the roads in the state of Trujillo, affected by the rains, have been recovered as part of the emergency care plan, said the governor of the entity, Gerardo Márquez.
Márquez, in statements collected by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), reported that in the municipalities of Boconó and Campo Elías there were landslides that obstructed agricultural roads; however, these sectors have already been cleared for passability.
“In response to the state's emergencies, these last two days the weather has been a little milder for the Andes, at least for the state of Trujillo, which has already allowed us to recover most of the roads,” said the governor.
He explained that previously in the Boconó municipality there were landslides that obstructed road 343 and almost road 200 in the municipality of Campo Elías, adding that “right now we can say that all this has been fully recovered”.
“These jobs required machinery, men, strength, work, day and night, all the time, for us to recover all that road because they are highly agricultural roads, especially the road that goes from Boconó to Tostós, to Las Mesitas,” he stressed.
Finally, he commented that both the Biscucuy road and even the road to a town called Guaitó in the state of Lara have been serviced from Trujillo, which are already open and clear.
