The U17 women's national volleyball team defeated Brazil
3-1 in the South American Championship held in Lima, Peru.
The Criollas won 3 sets to
1 (25-13/16-25/25-23/25-20) with top scorers for Venezuela, Victoria Sanoja with 10 points and Yalesca Colina with 7 points.
This Friday, September 19, the team led by Ihosvanny Chambers, will face their counterpart from Colombia at 8:30pm
Venezuela is in second position in Group
B, which is made up of Brazil, Argentina and Colombia.
In Group A, Peru, Chile and
Bolivia are competing. The four best teams in this tournament will qualify for the Santiago 2026
World Cup, where 24 teams from around the world will participate.
