This Friday, the Secretary General of the United Nations (UN), Antonio Guterres, expressed concern about the attack carried out against Puerto Sundán, according to Prensa Latina.
In this regard, Guterres highlighted the possibility that the damage will hinder the arrival of aid to those affected by what has to be called the forgotten war in Sudan.
This is the sixth time in the last six days that devices of this type have successfully hit the town, vital for the entry of humanitarian aid to this country devastated by a two-year civil war that caused the largest refugee crisis in history, with 14 million displaced persons to date.
The airport, the port and public buildings were damaged by unmanned aircraft, but not to mention human casualties that added to the 24,000 ports caused by the conflagration since its inception.
Until a few weeks ago, the state remained unscathed from attacks by General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo's Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia and the Transitional Sovereign Council (CST, recognized government), loyal to General Abdel Fattah al Burhan.
