Since last Friday, with the start of demonstrations against migratory deportations in Los Angeles, California, they have spread to several cities in the United States (USA), including Dallas, Texas, and New York.

In Dallas, hundreds of people gathered to demand an end to the raids carried out by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The rally in that city began around seven in the afternoon on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, convened by organizations in repudiation of the immigration policies promoted by the Donald Trump administration.

The demonstrators raised slogans and raised flags of Latin American nations and banners, without, at first, there being any incidents. However, local media reported that at least two individuals were arrested by police during the day, Telesur said.

The Dallas Police Department said in a statement issued prior to the mobilization that it will not interfere “with a legal and peaceful assembly... Our top priority remains safety.”

With the event in Dallas, there have already been at least six cities that have had mobilizations since the beginning of the raids: Los Angeles, Boston, New York, Chicago, Dallas and Washington D.C. In all these cities, participants demand the interruption of the federal government's racist offensive against the Latin American migrant community.

In New York City, 24 people were arrested for protesting inside Trump Tower. In Chicago, citizens protested against the deployment of the National Guard in California and called for the release of union leader David Huerta. On the other hand, in Boston and other cities in the Northeast, demonstrations also took place.
