Venezuela and Angola strengthen cooperation ties in environmental policies

The Minister of Popular Power for Ecosocialism, Ricardo Molina, and the Minister of Environment of Angola, Ana Paula Chantre Luna de Carvalho, exchanged experiences and environmental policies of both countries this Tuesday, November 11, during the 30th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP 30), held in Belém Do Pará, Brazil.

At the stand in Venezuela, where the above-mentioned authorities from both nations met, both agreed on the need for a territorial political reorganization to involve the people in the exercise of government as an effective way to advance environmental policies and combat the climate crisis, Molina reported on her Instagram account.

In this regard, he stated that “both of us agreed to prepare a proposal for joint actions to be presented to the consideration of our heads of state on specific issues such as binational exchange of young people in environmental training programs.”

They also agreed to propose “exchange of experiences in the production of forest and fruit plants in nurseries, as well as the reforestation of degraded areas, as well as in the collection and treatment of waste and solid waste”.

COP30 will continue to be held until November 21.
