Venezuela and Belarus are strengthening their agricultural and commercial cooperation as part of a joint strategy to strengthen food sovereignty and diversify their economies.

At a meeting between Ambassador Franklin Ramírez Araque and the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Belarus, Yuri Górlov, initiatives were evaluated to increase trade in agricultural products and develop new mechanisms for bilateral collaboration.

In this context, Venezuela extended an official invitation to a Belarusian delegation to participate in Agro-Alba, which will be held in Caracas next June. This event will bring together member countries of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP) in a space for knowledge exchange, agricultural investment and consolidation of regional cooperation.

“Sustainable economic development requires strategic and reliable partners. Belarus has proven to be a key ally in strengthening our agricultural cooperation, with ongoing projects and new areas of collaboration to explore,” said Ambassador Ramírez Araque.

For its part, Belarus invited the Venezuelan delegation to the international agro-industrial exhibition Belagro 2025, which will take place in Minsk in June, when producers, businessmen and government representatives will be able to explore new opportunities for investment and agricultural development.

Agricultural cooperation between Venezuela and Belarus not only strengthens their economies, but also contributes to a broader strategy of food sovereignty, sustainable development and resistance to global economic challenges.
