The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Latin America, Rander Peña, held a meeting this Monday with the ambassador of the Federative Republic of Brazil accredited to the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Glivânia Maria de Oliveira, focused on taking stock of the relations of friendship and mutual support between the two nations.

During the meeting, held at the Casa Amarilla Antonio José de Sucre, in Caracas, both diplomats made progress in creating a new cooperation map in strategic areas, such as energy, as well as the environmental and educational fields, among others.

On March 1, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro met with his Brazilian counterpart, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, to review the binational strategic cooperation agenda.

Both heads of state fulfilled an extensive work agenda in May 2023, in Brasilia, when strategic agreements for bilateral development and mutual benefits for both peoples were signed.
