Venezuela and Canada share the bronze medal at the men's Softball World Games in Chengdu (China), after the medal games had to be suspended due to heavy rains.

Both games were suspended and two gold and two bronze medals were awarded.

The gold medals are shared by Japan and the United States, who would compete in the grand final.

In this way, Japanese softball won its first title in a major international competition. While for the Americans it is their first championship since 1988 in Saskatoon, Canada.

The rest of the teams ranked as follows: Argentina in fifth position, Czech Republic in sixth, Australia in seventh and Singapore in eighth place.
