During the 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) 2025, Venezuelan authorities and more than 50 domestic exporters held a business meeting to evaluate progress in foreign trade and expand opportunities for Venezuelan export supply.
On the day held at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai, the Minister of People's Power for Foreign Trade, Coromoto Godoy, together with the Deputy Minister of Export Promotion, Daniella Cabello, and diplomatic representatives in Chinese territory, highlighted the participation of 42 Venezuelan companies in the exhibition, as well as the positioning of the Country Brand under the seal “What's Made in Venezuela”.
He also announced the drafting of a proposal with a partial scope between Venezuela and China, which covers more than 400 tariff codes. This instrument seeks to facilitate the exchange of goods and services, consolidate bilateral economic relations and strengthen strategic sectors of domestic production.
The businessmen present appreciated the institutional support received, which valued access to technical and commercial information on actions being taken to promote binational trade. The coordination between the ministries of Foreign Trade, Fisheries and Tourism reinforces the international promotion of Venezuelan products in China.
Venezuela's participation in the CIIE is key to projecting the country's productive identity, consolidating commercial ties and advancing economic cooperation with the People's Republic of China. The event reaffirms the commitment to market diversification and the development of an export economy.
